Students Islamic Organization of India is an ideological organization working in the country for preparing students and youth for the reconstruction of society in the divine guidance.
In order to understand SIO it is essential to have a good grasp on its views on Islam, student and organization. The Arabic word Islam signifies peace, dedication and absolute submission. In other words it is the path to peace through complete surrender to God.
SIO believes that the real function of education should be to impart genuine knowledge about life, existence and future. A real student is therefore one seeking for the realities about life and universe.
SIO believes that the function of the organization should not be to assemble as many people as possible by any means. But it is to transform the cadre into a crop of activists committed to ideals and gifted with inner strength.

SIO Aims

SIO finds itself committed to impart genuine knowledge and awareness to students and getting them ready to become torchlight of morality and fighters against evils by reinforcing their own life. The organization will also strive for promoting moral values in educational system and better academic and moral atmosphere in educational institutions and to nurture the talents of students in such a way as to benefit the society. Above all, preference will be given to spread the truths as understood by the organization among the most critical group of civil society – students.

SIO Works

All the above mentioned aims will be striven for only within the limits of morality and constructive – peaceful manner. The organization shall keep away from anything that is contrary to truth and honesty and that may result in communal hatred and class struggle.

Weekly
meetings held regularly in thousands of its units spread throughout the country are a unique feature of SIO On Goings. Students gathered in every unit benefit from discussions on various contemporary issues, educational matters, political and philosophical topics as well as they plan their future works and analyses previous On Goings.

Nizamul Usra

held under the supervision of SIO members every day is a dynamic activity to look into the self of everybody. They study according to their requirements and tries to know each other well.

Monthly

cadre meets at local units provide every worker a chance to analyse himself and to think over the organizational On Goings.

Bimonthly

students meet at every unit provide the participants to debate over various faiths and understandings and thus helping in creating an accommodative culture among different believers.
"Educational awareness programs are the inevitable part of SIO agenda every year. Surveys in selected colonies followed by enrolment in schools, other educational assistances like scholarships, book banks, libraries, reading rooms, study circles, guidance for better academic future, hostels, coaching classes etc are also carried out."
